The 36th National Animators' Conference 2024

The National Animators’ Conference of the La-Kri-Vī Movement, celebrating its 70th anniversary, took place at St. Vincent’s Home in Maggona from April 20th to April 23rd, 2024.

His Excellency Valens Mendis, the Bishop of Kandy, graced the event as the chief guest. Additionally, respected monks, reverend fathers, nuns, and Muslim priests attended, representing various religions. A total of 235 animators from across the island joined hands with us in the pursuit of spiritual transformation. The primary aim of this program was to guide the youth towards a spiritual awakening through diverse activities and engagements.

The CNCL is an initiative of CBCSL. Its purpose and objectives are to foster and promote the vocation and the mission of the lay faithful in the church and to develop ways and means of empowering the lay faithful to be active and responsible participants in the evangelizing mission of the church. Furthermore to encourage and support organised group efforts whose goal is the formation of the lay faithful in spirituality and apostolic activity proper to each of them in a participatory church. In this manner co-ordinating, integrating and promoting at the National Level the apostolate of the lay faithful.
